วันที่ 28 ตุลาคม 2568 เลขาธิการสำนักงานเศรษฐกิจการเกษตร ได้มอบหมายให้ นางจารุวรรณ สุขรมย์ ผู้อำนวยการส่วนองค์การการค้าโลกและพหุภาคี เข้าร่วมงาน Introducing the IFAD Regional Office in Bangkok จัดโดยกองทุนระหว่างประเทศเพื่อพัฒนาเกษตรกรรม (International Fund for Agricultural Development: IFAD) ซึ่งเป็นองค์การชำนัญพิเศษของสหประชาชาติทางด้านการเงินเพื่อเกษตรกรรม ณ ศูนย์การประชุมสหประชาชาติ กรุงเทพฯ โดยมี นายนเรศ ธำรงค์ทิพยคุณ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ เข้าร่วมเป็นเกียรติในงานฯ
งานดังกล่าวเป็นพิธีเปิดสำนักงานภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิกของ IFAD ในประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานและสนับสนุนประเทศสมาชิกในภูมิภาคได้อย่างใกล้ชิดและมีประสิทธิผลมากยิ่งขึ้น
ทั้งนี้ ภายในงานมีการนำเสนอวิสัยทัศน์และยุทธศาสตร์ของ IFAD ในภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิก การแสดงผลงานโครงการที่ประสบความสำเร็จ รวมทั้งการหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือกับองค์กรระหว่างประเทศ ภาครัฐ และภาคเอกชน เพื่อส่งเสริมการพัฒนาเกษตรกรรมและชนบทในภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิกอย่างครอบคลุมและยั่งยืน
On 28 October 2025, the Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE) assigned Mrs. Jaruwan Sukkharom, Director of the World Trade Organization and Multilateral Cooperation Sub-Division, International Agricultural Economics Division, to attend the event “Introducing the IFAD Regional Office in Bangkok”, organized by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations dedicated to agricultural finance. The event was held at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, and was graced by the presence of Mr. Nares Thamrongtipayakun, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, who attended the ceremony as the guest of honour.
The event marked the official opening of IFAD’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in Thailand, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening support for member countries across the region.
The programme featured presentations on IFAD’s vision and strategic priorities in the Asia-Pacific region, showcases of successful projects, and discussions on partnership opportunities with international organizations, government agencies, and the private sector to promote inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development in the region.
