The 186th Meeting of the Committee for Agriculture (COAG) under the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

On 29-30th October 2025, Dr. Kanjana Kwanmuang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics, as Head of Thai delegation, together with Ms. Hirunya Srasom, Director of the International Agricultural Economics Division and officials from the International Agricultural Economics Division (IAED), attended the 186th session of the OECD Committee for Agriculture (COAG) at the OECD headquarters, Paris, France. Thailand’s participation underscores its firm commitment to the OECD accession process as a Candidate Country.

The meeting was held to discuss the key achievements and outcomes for 2025 of various working groups under COAG’s operation, monitor the progress of related projects and activities, and define the future direction for collaborative efforts.

At the 9th session, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics contributed to discussions on reducing discrepancies in carbon footprint measurement across agricultural and food supply chains. She expressed support for aligning carbon footprint measurement approaches within the supply chain with national-level frameworks, using the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines as a basis for mutual recognition in the international context.
