On September 21, 2026, Mr. Peerapan Korthong, Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics, assigned Mrs. Jaruwan Sukkharom, Acting Director of the International Agricultural Economics Division, and division official to join a discussion on the occasion of H.E. Mrs. Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Thailand, paying a courtesy call on Mr. Phongthai Thaiyothin, Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Department of Livestock Development, The Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture, Rice Department, Department of Fisheries, and National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards. The discussion aimed to exchange guidelines for promoting technical cooperation and agricultural trade opportunities between the two nations, as well as to prepare for the upcoming visit to Thailand by Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, who is scheduled to meet with Thailand’s Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives on October 14, 2026. The meeting took place at Room 134, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
